Mermaid pose: Santa Cruz De La Palma, Canary Islands, SpainThe World Is My Yoga Mat = Yoga by Karen + Photography by Ben🌞 Karen: On a recent transit across the Atlantic, we found ourselves in La Palma, one of the Spanish Canary Islands. Its Old City is known for these beautiful and colorful building facades. We knew we had to make a picture here and Ben knew he wanted to frame me in that spot, but couldn't figure out which pose would work. After standing there scratching our heads for a while, I just told Ben to take a picture and chose this mermaid pose on the spot. It was just one of those lucky guesses that turned out to be perfect!📷 Ben: I shot this from close to the ground from across the street. I needed to be that far away in order to include the top of the building while keeping its sides parallel. I had the idea to use the rectangle behind Karen as a frame, but was unsure of which yoga pose would fit the space and look good.
